yes, there a report on it on oople.com it seems to be in the early prototype stage though. Durango still has a 1/8 nitro buggy coming out and a 4wd Short Course truck in the works as well.

I bit the bullet and just ordered from TD direct. Couldnt wait guys lots of racing this weekend and had to jump on it. I went through the whole car after my first run and all is well. Except for that front brace lol. Great car, I honestly have to say coming from a belt driven 501X, which I loved dont get me wrong, this is a relief. No ball diffs or belts to check.

The oil diffs are 99% why I switched from my Kyosho. So much easier now.

+1 Im having more fun racing already. After one week I am very pleased with my purchase. It also seams to suit my style better. We will see in a few more weeks as the numbers pick up at the track for indoor season.

its way earlier for me to compare the car and i dont have hardly in stick time with it but what i noticed right off the bat it has and i mean HAS NO PUSH on power whatsoever no matter what kind of turn your in..the on/off steering is very sick meaning awsome.. not sure about the bumps and jumps yet how they will handle those because our track layout is hybrid between oval and offraod till we go fulltime offroad... i think slipper setting on this car is very important and im thinking shock and springs are very important but anyways its way way to early for me to know if i like it better than my previous b44 and lazer fs..

gear diffs will leak a tad, just as 8th scales will, just don't overfill them or else they develop pressure while running and bleed the excess out. this will ruin the seals in the process.

but the shocks are solid. anyone who told you otherwise built them wrong.

So, did you not get an extra brace and pivots? I would have split shipping with you.....

Faster is all relative to the driver. Each car does certain thigns differently but this car does it all good from what Ive seen. The key here is maintenance. It will knock off hours to your maintenance procedures because of how easy it is to mainatain. Gear diffs are the easiest thing in the world for those familiar with 8th scale. And you dont have to worry about how tight/loose your ball diff is which is key...all u have to do is worry about oil viscosity and fine tune to your driving style.

As for leaks I havent seen anything leak. shocks are still in mint shape. As with any car it has its minor faults like the ball cups and turnbuckle ends people have been talking about but I havent experienced anything wrong with these items. The rear skid plate in plastic should be shoegooed though as it takes quite a beating and mine split the first time out. And thats about it.

I own a 501x and it handles amazingly, I kinda like the way it behaves a little better than the Rango in the corners but belt drive is a pain and if u run outdoors you will have a problem each and every time. The durango is just the way of the future man. you'll love it trust me.
