Hi, on the v3- whats a good setup for indoor carpet (shocks, diff)?
I went with stock setup from the manual for the moment.
I liked so much this car that went and bought the lunsford kit (stock ones were popping out) and djoints. Using a tekin 6.5/ rs pro
Thanks

Check the TD website for carpet setups.

You can always download the V3 manual and get the parts numbers from that

I have a dex 410 and I have had the diff ring chipping and stripping. It is not the bevel gear that is stripped or chipped it is the ring gear. Is there a fix for this. Please help.

I replaced both of mine with the hardened steel ones. No problems since.

with the DEX410, it is critical to check the play/slop on the centre drive shafts/gear box. The moment there is a bit of slack, then you need to check
- set screw on bevel gear (always use loctite)
- bearings
- play in gear box (to reduce any play in the area where the bearing sits in the gear box, you can actually cut a thin strip of electrical tape and place it between the bearing and diff case, cheap fix ... or just get a new gear case )

If it fits in my V1, then it should fit in the V3. Having said that, whilst the HobbyKing has good punch, it struggled towards the end of a 5mins race (I find the HK shorty more suited to 2wd). I prefer the Protek shorty instead for a heavy car like DEX410.

Anyone have the nanotech saddle packs?
What are the exact height of the 4.85 and the 5.0 that are approved? HK say 25mm for both but they haven't always been real exact in the past
