Anything is possible. But as most know, LRP's/sonics do run warm. I think it needs a better method of venting. I'm using the body that came with the car. It has a few holes in it. I need to look into proper venting.

It was the first motor I bought for my TC and after a day with it I realized I needed a 3.5t-4.5t in that car. I have a 3.5, 4.0 & 4.5 for the tc now. So this has been sitting in the box for a few months with not too many runs on it. It wld be hard for me to believe something's wrong with it.

I run a Tekin 8.5t in my 2wd buggy and can't stop praising that motor. It's the best motor I've ever owned. It seems the redline 6.5t is the trend for these cars. I will probably pick one up for this 4wd.

You racing indoor or outdoor? If it's outdoor. JConcepts has the best package. Their included inserts are very good for outdoor. Indoor you will want closed cell..so just choose what the fast locals run.

Has anyone tried the 21* front castor blocks yet? Just wanted some input. I know what they are for, just want some real opinions. Thanks.

I run outdoor clay and we use proline m3 (100deg+) m4 (80-90deg) hole shots with AKA Red closed cell soft inserts.

Just a quick question. Do the big bores and the standard body shocks use the same rebuild kit? If not does anyone know the part # for the standard bores vs. the one for the big bores?

I ran it outdoor for about 5 mins and then went to the indoor track. One of the motor wires came unsoldered. I temped the motor and it was at 220deg! I put the vented body on and it helped a bit but still over 200. I'm running the SP 2.0 with the boost on zero. I know in TC on hot days I let the motor get up to 210 with no probs. does anyone run a fan on the motor somehow? I installed my revtech 8.5 and it runs at 140deg 24/87 gearing with 30deg of timing in it. It's plenty fast and will get the job done. I really want the power of the 5.5 back tho. Any advice is appreciated. But DAMN do I love this car!!
try removing more of the rear of the body shell. It's important that the hot air can escape freely from under the body.
