TAMAK, do you work for Team Durango?

My understanding of the purchase, after talking to both Hobbico and HRP reps at Motorama, was that Hobbico is letting TD be run by TD, and until the contract with HRP for sole US distribution is up, they aren't/weren't going to be interfering.

Now, having a sole distributor isn't always bad, if TD can get things produced and shipped from Asia in the quantity and in a timely manner.

I'm always taken by the people who are so quick to blame TD for everything that they don't like, but have no idea how the real business world works and what it takes to get things done in today's economy.

Autocratic,

I do not work for Team Durango.. I wish . My qoute in the above post came from HRP. And I agree with you that TD will be run by TD. However, from what I have been told they will have bigger pocket books to play with the big boys. And from the looks of the release of two new 2wd drive platforms, they will.

Would someone be able to list the parts that I'd need and a rough price on the upgrade to do the swap over upgrade from a DEX410v3R to a DEX410v3?
Thanx

If you are thinking of buying the upgrades for an R right away, Forget it!! Just buy the V3.

The R is nice for people who want Tresrey parts or dont have the cash to spend that extra $100 (chump change in this class). Towers alone are 48 bucks to upgrade. ALU hinge pin holders 61 for the whole set. Big bores $120 for the whole set!!! Its a no brainer to buy the V3.

And in perspective the cost of the V3 is not bad considering what you would pay for Kyosho.... Willing to help with the list but you gotta help with the reasoning.

So i've pulled out my tekin/trinity motor out of my 'rango and replaced them with some really low budget electronics. Speed Passion Cirtix esc & Venom 9.5t motor. So far it's been working really well and have less than $70 into it.

Yeah I totally agree with you. But I wouldn't be buying all the upgrade parts right away. I've got a bit of a restriction on income for a little while but need a 4wd to replace the B44 that I shouldn't have sold.. My track is a fair way from my house and I need to run two classes. I already have the 210 which is "da bom" and a converted 408 so TD it is and for $157 less I could go the R now. The idea was to get the R now and look at the shocks at first on the list but not for a little while. And then some aftermarket towers next. Maybe there are some parts that don't NEED upgrading for a long time.. I dunno.
Thanks for your reply BTW.
