I remember Danger talking about the Novaks on occasion, maybe he has something he can add. I'm just not familiar with their products anymore.
Okey I will try a 20t next time i drive.

I'm running a 8.5 in my V3 and am running a 18t pinion. Temps are normal after a 5 minute race. I would say try running a lower pinion, but you may have other issues that others have written about.

I'm running on high traction carpet with stock sways on it, and I'm at 35wt front and 30wt rear. Hope this helps I've only ran a few times but those few times but haven't had traction rolling even with fast turning on ridiculous traction with soft compound tires.

hi guys,

i would like to ask a couple of quick questions!

i m about to buy a dex410 v3, as soon as it gets to my local shop,
and i m wondering which electric to be used.

some one told me to use 6.5 motor...
but i already have a gm 10.5 spare motor which i could use on this one,
furthermore when i went to the track (indoor-small) the first time they told me they all use 10.5 or 8.5 motors and that they usually race a free category in which every one can use every motor turns.

So my question is:

1)in case i use my gm 10.5 is it fine run it with sxx stock specv2?

2)do you suggest to use timing on esc?

3)and which pinion usually goes with 10.5??
(because i only know they use 18/19 pinion for 6.5)

4) servo department: is it fine a sanwa sdx-801??

[use of the car will be: bashing and some race at the track mentioned ^]

thank you very much, every help is really appreciated!!!

I've officially joined the Durango family. I traded my SSC LCG Slash 4x4 for a Durango DEX410R. First time running a buggy of any sorts, and I have to say this thing is amazing. I have only raced SCTs, both 2wd and 4wd. This buggy makes them feel like gigantic turds.

I outfitted it with my spare electronics which include:
  • LRP SXX Comp V2
  • LRP X12 5.5 w/ 13mm rotor
  • KO Propo Servo

It has all the acceleration my TEN-SCTE has, all the speed, yet turns on a dime. I have some learning to do that's for sure, but I am amazed with this buggy. Also, the durability was tested on accident as I went down our straight wide open and about 3/4 the way down, the front lifted, which caused it to cartwheel the rest of the way. I thought for sure I broke it but all was fine. Kudos!
