i think its more to the point more and more people are seeing just how good these cars are and they cant keep up the demand for them , if your a company this is a good and bad thing though

look at the SCTE it was sold out for months at a time , its part of the hobby these days we either pre order and get in early and take the chance or hod off until a few have them and say how good they are then more then likely on back order

i must admit parts seems to be a issue if you break often

its not just the buggy either other lines of durango are out as well but i will wait as i have now listen to my friend and seen the potential these trucks and buggy have on a track

What are the dimensions of the batteries that you run in the dex410r?
Thanks Jordan

Default Receiver placement

I'm thinking about placing the futaba receiver next to the motor in my V3. There is a 5mm gap between the motor and receiver. Would the heat created by the motor be an issue? I really don't want to buy a micro receiver and then have the $90 Futaba just collect dust.

Yeah I am bitter, b/c I want mine, but it really makes you wonder what Durango is thinking.. Poor planning, etc.
I understand you but is more like DBL15 said.
I read a comment from a UK member of durango and he said they were caught off guard with how popular the cars were released specially the 210 that kicked it off..

Always a great thing from their point of view and I hope they get parts out soon but I can wait a little longer if needed. Hopefully they don't rush the parts out and make mistakes like quality/material etc causing more problems.

Default Battery Size.

Whats the max battery size I can fit in a V3. The saddles I have are 5500 and 6000 packs. Will those fit? I am waiting for my car in the mail.

Do you have any shots of the bottom? Just curious to see how large the gap is between the bod and the chassis.

Hey guys,

I've been reading this thread from the start and I'm a page 159. I just ordered the v3 dex410 from Amain been waiting awhile and they are finally in stock. What should I know for this build and what upgrades are needed right away?

Any advice on things to do while I'm building this beast would be appreciated! Also I'm going to run a 6.5 and am wondering, tekin or viper or ???

Thanks,
Dan

Go on the durango website, they have a lot of tutorials for building the car. Pay most attention to the diffs and shimming.

Without any mods the tallest you can fit is a 25mm pack. Cush runs 4800 or 5200 packs in his, and we have some 5400s that fit also. I've never seen a 6000 that will fit.

OK guys, I just finished after 10 hours, putting together my new DEX401v3.
Still have to layout the wiring, really tight with the castle MMP.
What I cant figure out is how the heck do you get the saddle pack batteries in the car. If you pull the cotter pin out on the fron of the holder, the holder lowers, which does not allow the battery to slip in. Am I missing anything here? Do you remove the cotter pin, then remove the slide pin in the rear of the holder, put the batts in place, then put both cotter pin amd rear ping back in place? That wluld mean the batteries are meant to stay in all the time, or at least not easily to be removed
