Looks like its time to dust off the DEX410R for the winter season. I've been away from 10th scale for quite a while, and haven't been able to spend the time with this chassis since I've owned it to find out what i I can truly get out of it.
I'm looking for a setup that will work on a tight, indoor, loamy track with short straights, small but technical jumps and every turn is either 90 degrees or 180 degrees. The track starts reasonably well groomed but gets some craters towards the end. It doesn't blow out like a clay track, it gets these holes that you have to drive through. It can become just a little slick at times because the dirt NEVER dries out. I've posted a vid of the track below (the new layout is completely different):

My kit is a 2010 Spec, but I'm putting together a set of bigbores right now.
Can anyone tell me if this setup is for bigbires or for the older shocks:

I run a mamba 5700 and a mamba max controller and because I mostly run on small tracks, I modifyed the motor mount to accept down to 15 tooth pinions (which I run).

can anyone tell me the axle size of the buggy? trying to make sure i have the right adapter for my setup station before mine comes.

My calipers say 5mm on the diameter. Does that help? Not sure if you need thread size . . .

Yessir, 5mm for both F & R. M4 would make sense as well . . .

The 410 and 410r uses the same wheels front and rear. The front are 10mm +/- hex, and the rears are cross pins.

The 410v3 and the 210 uses the same rear wheels. (14mm hex)

The 210 uses it's own front wheel, and I am not sure about the V3 but I think it uses 14mm hex all around.

You will want a 23 or 22. Start there and check your temps after a couple minutes.

Do you find the velcro necessary? The body already fits really tight as it is.

I use velcro for the body instead of those tiny body pins. And my apologies the old front hexes are 10mm and not 12mm as I thought. I should have measured . . .

I use velcro too. Still sometimes put a pin the the front, but too the rear mount off and have just used velcro, works very well. I went thru the body with the rear mount. Velcro was an easy fix!

Not sure why, but I use velcro and pins. I used to use just velcro and have never had a body come off by crashing, but I have had some trigger happy yahoo's crash into me and lift the body right off the chassis with velcro alone. Since then I use both pins and velcro. Ya never know.

But with the 410, the body fits so tightly against the chassis there seems to be very little play or slop. I thought maybe pins alone would keep it in place.
