Run the Tresrey body so you can keep the fan.

Have you tried running it without the fan? If so what are your temps? I was very happy without a fan running a LRP Sphere that was a couple years old. Just try it and keep a close eye on temps for the first few batteries. Also remember when traction goes up so will your esc temps.

I run an 8.5t Thunderpower motor and novak Kinetic esc in mine with no fan on Protech saddle packs. It was over 90 INSIDE the track building on sunday and after the 7 min main the motor was 160 and the esc was 145. Stock spur and 19t pinion.

Run it for 2 minutes, check it, 2 more minutes, check it, 2 more minutes, check it, 2 more minutes. If you go 8 minutes like this and its not getting over 150 it should be fine. Just remember to practice like you race.

Was thinking of getting one of these to compliment my desc410r, what's the best motor package, I was wanting a tekin setup but what turn is best?, would a hitec 7945th be to big of a servo as I have a spare?

Thanks in advance

The wind on the motor will really be up to your skill and track size. I find an 8.5t to be pretty dialed since it gives me a lot of room to gear up or down for the track and conditions without too much change in heat buildup or feeling too over or under powered when the gearing is changed. The rango fits standard sized servos fine (which i think the 7945 is) but the question is will it be fast enough for your driving. Personally i like the Savox servos, super fast and all Ti geared make for a really durable servo and the cost is low. The Tekin RSPro is a good choice for the rango, not because of the brand as much as the size. Depending on your reciever it may be all that will fit. Take a good hard look at the limited space before you throw down your money on the electronics because it will be tight. The novak esc barely fit in mine and i use the KOPropo 409 reciever which is one of the smallest in the industry.

Looking at the setup Lutzinator posted. It is so far off of where Im at that Im going to try the changes just to see how the car feels. Has anybody else tried the higher roll center setup in the rear? I have only used the-2/4 blocks in the rear, what can expect from the changes?

FWIW we had real heat issues with the rs pro running anything over a 10.5 on high bite clay. Switched to an lrp sxx and handles a 7.5 nicely. Also, switched my brother's desc410 to the Tresrey gt 2.0 esc and it handled the 4.5 550 motor flawlessly, but have since switched to the castle 1410. If you can fit the larger esc in there (possible, but tight) it will assure you trouble free running.

Also, the Tresrey body gives much more room for fans on the esc, and will give you a unique look over all of the stock bodied dex buggies out there.

What set up were you running with the RS pro? It was run on high bite clay this past weekend with motors lower than 10.5.

I fitted an Orca Vritra Pro and an Orca 6.5turn motor, no problems over heating and thats on carpet indoors. Very impressed with the motor and speedo, plenty of pull coming out of the corners, plenty of speed on the straight and the brakes are excellent.

With the 10.5 it was boosted pretty heavily and temps were 150 motor and 140 esc but lacked the top end. Switched to 7.5 with no boost. Did not make much difference on the pinion, but tried from 18 to 23 and motor saw up to 190 and esc was always above 160. For indoor we are running a 20-21 pinion on the 7.5 with the lrp sxx and its great. Plenty of rip, plenty of top end, 140ish on motor and 115-120 esc
