Having a desc410r and a dex410r i think TD does a great job with their factory setups. On the buggy all i made was some minor oil and roll center changes. That being said their website has a ton of setups for various tracks around the world from their team drivers so you can find a track that has a similar surface to yours and try that setup as a base also.

Default sun gear removal

Another way that I have used with success on those that werent properly sanded is to use a spring loaded punch(snap on etc makes them). Hold diff cup with outdrivr facing up. Then use spring loaded punch on center of outdrive on sun gear side and let it pop several times and you will see gear move its way off outdrive. No damage to anything this way and your done in 2 minutes.

Look for the "Grapejuice" setup. Its been a real popular setup and the same setup Justin ran at the Cactus this year.

Orion carbon have been working well on our Tresrey Durango's. I did run the Venom packs for a while and they worked well also. Almost anything 25mm in height will take care of you.

lots and lots of talk about breakages, overheating and drivetrain noise on here.
i've had my 2010 spec 410 since lat year and have yet to experience they typical noises and breakages everyone is talking about. Hell I haven't even broken the 1st servo saver yet, and I've raced both dirt and carpet quite a bit.
The only problem I had with my original kit was actually kind of weird - all the small plastic ball ends (sway bar) split when the screws were drivin into them.
I think a lot of the overheating problem comes down to people overmotoring (or overgearing) their cars. Since I found mine running a little hot at first, and I didn't want to buy another motor (mamba 5700), I simply ground out my engine mount so the motor could move a little closer to the spur, letting me put on a 15 tooth pinion. I'm hoping they release a couple of larger spurs soon.
As for drivetrain noise, take a good hard look at your spur and pinions. I have replaced 2 spurs for noise, but you also have to look at your pinions. they too can get mangled a little bit and contribute to the noise. I also use a drop of oil on the cv joints when running on carpet (not on dirt), and those diffs have to be properly shimmed and then greased to help with the noise reduction. I still have all the kit bearings in place too.

Looks like he finished 4th behind Brent Thielke. The video of the buggy is down the page.

My set-up from the J-Concepts Indoor Nationals is now posted on my website. This was a super high bite indoor clay track and very tight.
Had some bad luck throughout the weekend. Too much to explain it all but in the end my car felt very solid in the main. Was battling for the win with 30 seconds to go and then my bad luck returned. Either way this was my first race with the DEX410 and i'm glad to share my set-up.

Great run yesterday Ryan, you would have had those guys if you didn't lose power. Lame. Good meeting you and your brother.
