@Perez: To get out the diff gear just put it upside down for 15 min, gravity will work for you. Give it a little smack and it will fall out nice and easy

Hey all...I just picked up a lightly used DEX410 that came as a BUNCH of NIP parts including a set of Big Bore shocks in addition to the original ones. I'm (slowly) working my way through this thread so I apologize if this particular horse is already beat but is there some "equivalancy" between the original shocks and the big-bores? For example, if I see a setup that used the original shocks, how can I get the big-bores to be equivalent to that setup?
I'm kinda hoping there is a chart or something but even some guidelines on piston/fluid weight/spring changes would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any assistance you could provide!
Cheers,
Mike

Thanks for the quick response Bman!
Yea, it was a smoking deal that included everything NIP to build a 2010 spec car + a bunch of spares + battery + full ceramic bearing kit + NIP Tersery FR/RR hubs/servo saver/driveshafts/weights/Gainabull body
. I suspect I'll be asking more (stupid) questions as I get further into the build but I'm assuming key points are as follows:
Proper shimming of diffs
Kyosho P5 o-rings on outdrives
Proper installation of pinion gears into diff cases
Build driveshafts with red locktite and either pin retainers or shrink tubing
Alloy steering arms/servo saver
I'm REALLY stoked to get this thing built and out on the track!
Cheers,
Mike

Well for all that have a loud car and correctly shimmed diffs: I took one extra gold washer (the thinnest one) to get the diff further away from the bevel gear and to my surprise the car was then all of a sudden almost B44 quiet. Try it! You might be surprised
I also use a tiny bit of Eureka grease instead of the black one. Great stuff!

I also meant the gear attached to the outdrive, have you tried what I said? Put some oil in it, spin for a few times, then turn it upside down and wait....
