I run a LRP 7.5 at 22/87 so you'll want to gear up that pinion with a 10.5

The LRP might be JUST a touch smoother It's very close...BUT it's ALOT slower geared the same 22/87.The boost is up to #7.

What gearing should the LRP 10.5 be ???

thanks

It was nice to adjust the ESC without pulling the laptop or wire out of the reciever, BUT if I can't get the same speed with the same motor..then it doesn't matter
Have u tried the ballistic motors? and yes the 22t pinion is way too small for the 10.5, I too run that on my 7.5 and I may even try a 23. Go for a 25 or 26 IMO to get some more out of ur 10,5

Have any of you tried the new JC molded inserts? LIR just got a huge shipment of them in and they look pretty legit.
im rocking a pair of the proline blue closed cell foams in some hb pink beams. ive only ran them for maybe 5 min in practice and had to switch to megabites. track was getting dusty. if its smooth i think they will work great though. they feel like a nice firm titty.

Everyone needs to stay on point and not get all riled up over nothing. Everyone has an opinion. Nobody is right or wrong when it comes to opinions, period.

It's ok for them to not like Tekin. To each his own.

However for those that choose to run Tekin or need help doing so I'm here to help along with the rest of our race team.

Heat issues are often a combination of factors. Some controllable, others not. Setup is huge and being setup wrong with either esc settings, gearing or layout can all cause heat issues or thermalling.

With 212 software in the RS line you can adjust timing, etc by using the RS's onboard interface. 90% of people find setups they like and never change them. The RS also has 2 custom profiles that the user can save and switch between WITHOUT the hotwire/laptop.

Yes we're more adjustable, yes it can take more time. However it's often worth it.

I will be posting Ryan Lutz's esc settings after testing with him Tuesday. The test track is indoor and around 7,000 sq ft. Currently it has a fast layout with laptimes in the 21-22 second range. Ryan has a 6.5 loaded right now.

Default Rear Anti Squat/Suspension holder

Randy Pike: thanks for all you do for us Tekin owners needing assistance.

Anyone try running the Rear Anti Squat (Aluminum rear-front Suspension Holder) in the +2 vs -2 setting? One of our fast racers tried last night and said the car was much more planted. I plan to try this week and will post results afterwards. Appreciate any input on the Rear Suspension Holder.

Default Clay/Indoor Setups?

I have a 410R on the way and will be testing it against my FS2... Does anyone have a solid indoor/clay setup? I printed out BK's setup from the website... Just looking for other options!

Will be using all Tekin - RS Pro with 7.5 or 8.5 on damp/wet clay, track is approx 115' x 60'.

Thanks!
Richard

I was running BK's setup and I liked it a lot! The Durango is awesome. Handles like a 2WD, but has the scoot of a 4WD. Just make sure that your drivetrain rotates freely, and you're good to go.

Been running the -2 and #4 in the rear. Seemed a lot more planted and had lots more on-power traction than with the #2 on the rear....Havent done the +2 side yet but it seems a bit steep. try messing with the RR one first and see how u like it before u add the +2 side on the inner
