yup B44 went up on rctech 30mins ago...here we go again...
Yup, a B44 looks like a land crab with wheels up next to the Rango. The only thing I see compete with the Rango at our track is the Schumacher.

So finally got the car dialed today, seems though my main outer diff gear has broken off a few teeth. Im assuming there must be binding in the plastic case when jumping or crashing..anyone experience this?

I am going to try the rear carbon brace from the pro spec kit to see if it helps

dex 410 = $650, b44 w/ all the hopup parts to make it durable and spares for the stuff you still break, b-fast ball diffs (if you dont want to have to mess w/ them for a while) = more than $650 the kit isnt that expensive when you figure the only thing you need to upgrade are the o rings in the diffs, and the stupid servo saver arm.

Yeah. The DEX410 price tag seems pretty steep as an initial investment, but like you say, in the lifetime of a lesser buggy, you prolly spend that much..

Given the other classes I'm thinking of running outdoors, I'm thinking the 410R to get started, but for this buggy, it might be worth giving up Short Course (the only other 1/10 I'm running these days) and just blowing my load on the 410

Why spend $650 on the rango... get the R, spend $75 to get the upgrade stuff you need and save $200 bux

I love saving the da bux. So this thread is 242 pages already, so I'm a little late in the game.....
So if I got 410R, Sounds like I'd need to replace Diff O rings, Ball cups and Servo Saver Arm. Anything else ? Thanks again and sorry for any deceased horses beaten by my post

if i remember correctly (its best to forget these things when it comes to this hobby) i paid about $400 for a 2 race day old 410 kit w/ a ballistic 8.5 and the orion 4500 lipos. if i had it all to do over again i still buy the 410 over the r. im sure the r's are a great car and need very few upgrades, but why buy a stripped out Ferrari. just my .02

I went with the 410R as well and bought what everyone here recommended (the aluminum front arm mounts and the steel inserts for them). I also bought the shock and drive shaft boots to cut down on maintenance. Still waiting on P5 o-rings but I am going to build the diffs stock at first. Can't wait to build this thing and run it next Saturday. This thread has been a big help. Thanks again.
