Just checked Red Rc. Noticed Neumann is running his Worlds TQ layout 410 chassis for the DHI Cup. I wonder......

It was very ugly, the screw came out of the piston and everything feel apart on the left side. I just noticed the difference, no wonder I broke my steering plate! Hopefully this will get me by till I get the right part, gotta race man.

would it be possible to put a shorty pack "wide" in the back of your setup? I think you said you can do this….secondly, if you did this would you be able to move your ESC and receiver behind too? Or do you run the motor in the back? Would you mind posting pics if you have done this?

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm really surprised to see that nobody has picked Neumann up. I love Durango and I think they are great cars, but I think I would rather go with a sponsor than without.

Yup, here are some early pics from when I first designed it.

Since I've been experimenting with the shorty pack idea I wanted to double check my feeling and what many here have confirmed that the car would be tremendously front heavy with a shorty pack. I've drilled two small pivot points to balance the car, halfway between the front and rear axles. This point would move around a bit depending on your wheelbase and subsequent hub spacers. Using these points the car actually balances almost perfectly with my 5600 saddle packs. If I add my under diff brass weight it's slightly heavier to the rear. I think this is probably ideal given the rear tires are slightly larger. I've been running it this way for some time and it's very solid. The shorty pack setup looks promising but would at the very least require the electronics to be mounted in the rear to offset the lighter battery. Would more than likely also require weight to be added to the rear to balance the car. This makes a lot of sense when you look at the other designs and the Worlds prototype of the DEX410 that Neumann is using. I think BManns setup is probably the most deal, as you could run the dual slipper or the 3rd diff, and it looks like a shorty in the rear flat and wide against the rear….perhaps with the shorty in the rear you could also run the electronics in the rear.

Just some saturday night thoughts from the engineering brain of Dave

@Bmann: You rock. Thanks! Now I think I want your setup even more. What body are you running again? Do you run your regular V4 at all??

I think he is just waiting for the right offer. My prediction, Neumann will win the 4wd worlds this year since it's on carpet!!! Not sure what chassis but I hope it is with a Durango....

On a side note, I really can't see this working for TD. No news in months and nobody running their cars to sell on Monday.....Remember when HB did this a few years ago? Now these past two months they signed like 5 good drivers.
