Team Durango DEX410 4WD 1/10 Off-Road Buggy Thread
In the market for a new 4 wheeler. Asking honest opinions please. Anything this car needs as far as options out the box? Doesn't it still use odd ball 14mm hex, or can you use other hexes for more popular wheels? Biggest concern is durability, any parts I would need to keep on hand that are issues. I'm leaning toward this or the xb4. I had a 44.2 last year and it was ok didn't break many parts but hate the fact it's still uses standard screws and bearings. Gonna be running on a indoor clay track. Also will there be enough room for a orion r10? Any suggestions is appreciated
As for durability, I think the v4 is definitely stronger than the Losi 22-4. I have seen the TLR break front arms, front clickers and belts. I havent broke the whole season, nor have my teammates. But others drives in the lower mains have clipped or crashed at speed into pipe and broke arms. But then again most cars don't survive a full speed hit. Any of the cars would break except the HPI.
As for spares: front arms, front shock tower unless you get the HPI Vorza shock protectors then you wont snap a tower, and front bulkhead set. Thats about it. The XB4 is very similar to the durnago, maybe slightly stronger, but the replacement parts and options are more $$.

@Dino_D: Can you post pics of your vorza shock protectors installed on the 410?

+1 for this "If you are considering v4, I would suggest the rear brass weight kit, aluminum servo saver arm, front 1.3mm and 1.1 sway bars if you are running on a clay indoor track."

Just ordered the DEX410V4. Excited to join you guys.
I will be running 2 classes: 2wd blinky and 4wd with the DEX410 which will have an 8.5T motor. Currently I have two speedos: an Orion R10 and a Tekin RS (not Pro). The Orion is two years old (the grey one, and the Tekin is at least 4 years old). Maybe these speedos have newer models but mine are a bit old (but in good condition).
Not an off road guy so please let me know which of these speedos I should use in the DEX410 or if I should buy something different. Was thinking about getting an LRP Flow, also looking at the Orca. Currently I have the Orion in the 2wd buggy.
Thanks! Jason

Also does that Tresrey servo arm fit the DEX410v4? Where do I get that damn thing?

Hope someone finds a setup for me. I looked on the site nothing stuck out at me. Leisure Hours in Joliet IL is where I run. Indoor clay med to high bite.
Also I took apart this V3 buggy I picked up. Is there any V4 parts that I should get? Driveshafts, etc? Or just freshen it up the way it is? Shock pistons? Anything.
Also any clue where I should start for gearing 13.5 blinky.
Thanks

Give this one a look, I used it our indoor clay track, and it was pretty good..The key was the rear droop for our track, it helped lock down the rear end.

As for the diff hoops, I don't have them and have never broken the plastic ones. Your money is better spent on the rear skid plate weight and the 21* front blocks if you find the car a tad too twitchy.
The Tresrey servo arm is made for the 410 but they had stopped production in anticipation of the new 410 being different, but Konich said in the Tresrey forum they are going to do new runs of their 410 stuff because they fit the v4. I'd imagine he meant the front and rear blocks and all the other little tidbits as well.
Welcome to the family and enjoy
