I'm pretty sure mine did too, I ended up using a racers edge(I think) and trimming it down. I agree, Durango should have one.

The plastic part weighs 6 grams on my scale, but my scale doesn't resolve below 1 gram increments so it may weigh a few tenths less.

I use a savox 1257TG standard size servo. It has more than enough power for the application. Haven't tried a low-profile because I haven't felt the need to reduce weight in front. But I did use a Hitec standard servo for a time with similar specs to the savox 1251MG and it worked just fine until I rear ended a Losi SCT on the straight.

dino, i remember reading that you use 1.6*2 front pistons and 1.7*2 rear pistons, but i cant find the post to see what oil you run, its for a bumpyish track, i run these pistons in my 210 35 front, 27.5 rear and they are really good

I have the Savox 1257 in my 210 and the 1258 in my 410. They seem like decent servos, but neither of them center perfectly. It is fairly minor but noticeable. Given it's both my servos in two different cars it makes me think that brand just doesn't center all that well. It's pretty irritating though. It requires I make a minor correction after each turn.

Broke my front shock tower this past weekend at a race and had to pull my DEX410v4 into the pits. DNF of course, im not a huge fan of carbon fiber and wanted to know if I have any other options for a replacement front shock tower?

Old V2 pressed Alum towers are hard to come by. Had bad luck myself with Carbon towers on the v3, both TD and aftermarket.

There are the plastic ones TD330408. Never tried them so not sure how durable...

It seems the aluminum Towers are now discontinued so snatch some up before there are no more. I seem to recall some Olive colored ones but since I like the CF ones I've never looked into them. Maybe someone here can help?

FWIW, the DESC410r aluminum front shock tower fits the DEX. Ask me how I know. Broke my first CF front tower a couple weeks back and the DESC was on the hobby shop wall. 19 bucks.
Not as many top shock mounting choices on the DESC tower but it works for me and seems much stronger.

Why don't you try this?
HPI Vorza shock protector.
I ran this and it strengths the whole shock tower itself. Never broke a shock tower after it. You will end up breaking the front plastic bulkhead/shock assembly instead of the tower. But that's a $6 part vs a $24 part.

You just need to trim the front bottom of the protector so it can clear the shock cap.
