Excellent as Trinity motors are, there are far too many lower priced quality options out there for less. I'm not paying $100 for a motor than can go up without warning. Been there done that. the last one was a Novak motor which was consistent with EVERY Novak branded product I have ever owned. Worked well for a short time and then out of nowhere, the ever infamous odor of burnt electronics. Called them up to explain and they said they'd be happy to replace it for the generous customer service fee of full price. Eff that.

Orion was better with helping me out but it took a great effort to track down contact information and then took a bit to get a response, but they did issue a replacement end bell and even sent 2 new sensor boards for my troubles.

This is consistent with many RC "manufacturers" and I refuse to drop coin on top dollar items when there are other EQUALLY viable options out there for less. SMC batteries gave me the same business as Novak with one of their packs. It worked well for about 10 cycles in my Son's RB5 running a Reedy 17.5 and Reventon R and then suddenly "MEGA puff" until the case separated. I was able to muscle it back down and glue it closed, but the thing is super puffed. Just going to trash it and go with something else.

There's a good reason for that… Air flow inside the chassis.

Also, wire length isn't much of an issue until you go longer, much longer.

elaborate on more airflow with wires over vs under? Because you are running the fan in between the motor and ESC?

I've set it up with wires over before and I hated having the wires in the way of the driveshaft…

BTW, I have run my speed passion setup with the 410 with a fan in the middle before….I think there are pics in this thread (essentially the same fan position as yours) I think it works well with the speed passion because of the center heatsink hole allowing air to flow down the center of the ESC and under the top… Hobby wing doesn't have this same type of heatsink just to note. I will probably run a similar fan setup as I have now when I put the ESC back in (it's in my 210 right now) and then try something different later so I can compare. It takes a while to lay out all the wires and make it look nice so I don't change it very often….I don't have that much spare time… I'm on a six day work week right now. Maybe 7 days coming soon…

With my 410, the 19's would force me to have to throttle steer to whip the rear end around on med/slow tight corners and it made it tough to keep a rhythm going because I'd already be on too much power exiting corners and to compensate I'd have to let off and feather the throttle more gently. Once I put the 21* blocks the car was smooth through those types section and I shaved almost 4 seconds off my times consistently.

A word of caution, this car is already a bit heavy so depending on your particular track you may need weights in the middle BUT you don't want both the side weights and the rear skid plate. Just one or the other. Generally the rear skid plate achieves a very good balance for the car and all you need to do is tune your suspension depending on track and conditions.

Also, for a replacement wing, don't dick around with anything g other than the Vortex. Been there, done that, and this is the only wing I'll ever buy. The only other wing as durable has been the sweep but the wicker element is too steep for 2wd Buggy but it should be good for 4WD.

Stick with the 22 pinion initially and see how it works for you. If it's too much simply switch to the 20.

I think my post was misunderstood. I was asking about the 21* front blocks.

21 degree blocks should be better for carpet as it will tame the car down. I run the 21's ever since they came out and will not switch back! It just makes the car smoother throughout the whole corner. No more slight push then snap oversteer like with the 17's......

It's better but you want them either toward the drive shaft for wiring under it or to the top to run the wires over the top.

Will my Airtronics 94357 be good enough for this buggy?
