I am using SMC square packs, and the secret is not to over use them. I run indoors and they are great. The specs are 5800 mah and 70 c. I cannot stand saddle packs, what a hassle. Has anyone tried the 6400 90c HK square packs?

Yes they will work on the v4 big bores, and yes you will need the oring for them too.

Overuse? Really??!???

You should be able to charge over and over and over and over again and again without issue. I have venom packs that I can run til cutoff and recharge and cutoff all day long and they are perfect. Same deal with Track Power and a few other brands.

I've been using the turnigy nanotech 6400 90C square packs and the nanotech saddles in my dex410 and desc410 to LVC with no problems, multiple charges on race days with no issues.

I just picked up two SMC 5800 square packs to try in the dex410, they're 11 grams lighter than the nanotech 6400's, about the same as the saddles. We'll see how they work out.

The Trinity packs look interesting too, let us know how they work out for you Tobamiester.

I've had many practice and race days on my nano techs with multiple charges. They have been great so far. I always balance charge and I always storage charge at the end of the day to 3.75v. I do the same with my SMC packs and they have been great as well. I have 3x of the Nanotechs and 2x of the SMCs. So far so good.

Hi I see that you race at OCRC. Im going to be getting a DEX410v3 soon & can't find an updated setup sheet. Could you share your setup so I can get an idea where to start. I'll be using a 7.5 motor.

Have you vented the body at all? What are your esc temps?

Heat index yesterday was near 110 and my motor ran 156, esc w/fan 160, battery 126. But I'm running a 10 turn with 23 tooth pinion, stock 87t spur.

I've vented the side and rear scoops on the kuhler body plus several holes in the lower windshield.

Seems low, maybe go up 2/3 teeth. What's your track surface? Maybe you have to much wheelspin, or maybe slipper is to loose.

Seems like a good start. What hole pistons? I would save yourself a lot of trouble by going 1.6x2 40wt front and 1.7x2 30wt rear and stock springs.
