That was awesome, but I don't know if it made my choice any easier. haha!
I sometimes have trouble with my motor mount screws (actually lately it's more often) because it's tough to find a titanium screw that will fit and it also seems that with my Speed Passion motor I can't get the screws in very far so I'm often afraid of stripping them. I use Lunsford fatboys on most of my cars and they never move. I use them on my DEX210. Just wish I could on the 410...I'm still trying to find some Ti motor mount screws I think that would be better....

Idk but my 410 jumps like a champ. Absolutely NO nosedive off power unless intended to. I run the rear skid plate and no side weights with all my electronics up front and it's really closely neutral front to rear, even left to right. If my driving was up to par I have no doubt I'd be the top dog at any track.
My buddy who is sponsored by HB is going to drive it next time into out to try it out and give me his feedback, but I suspect it's going to be all good.

I was told the 410 v4 is way better then the 44.2 line ?

I'd say so, just durability alone. My v4 is extremely durable and very quick. Parts are also pretty inexpensive.

Let's just cut out the BULLSHIT about any car being light years superior to anything else. All the top cars are quite close in performance and it all boils down to what you like best in the way of looks as well as the features, systems, and ease of maintenance.
Having said that, I feel the 410 is one of the 3 or 4 top cars when every facet of its performance and engineering is all factored in. I'll say 410, XB4, 413, and now a few others are known king on their doors. Another thing to keep in mind is that the 44.2 is likely the most successful 4WD Platform of all time which blows the notion that a 410 or any other wheeler is light years better.

I pick it up Tuesday I hope it a new v 4 kit 410

Took a brief vacation from the 410 buggy platform. But I'm getting back in the saddle with a v4 coming in next week. Can't wait.

The way engineering is today, any top company will do fine (in the rc world or many many others). They are all a little different giving them all strengths and weaknesses but there all near the same overall.
I like Durango because I've had good luck with them and I like the innovative designs they have. I also like seeing new companies take down the others like associated lol

what gearing for a 6.5 motor

I'd start at a 20t
At the end of the day most manufacturers can win, its all a preference, its not like one is really any better then the other, but durability, cost of parts, parts availability and ease of maintenance are bigger factors IMO. I've got lots of spares so I'll never be in a bind, but when I need parts I can get them from my LHS/job, they're inexpensive, its super easy too work on, and I basically don't DNF with it, what more can one want. Got 2nd in the A 2 weeks ago, won 2wd this past race

What do you guys use for motor screws?

For motor screws go with socket cap over button head.

+1. I use the socket heads, they fit in the mount slots ( just ) and there is more 'meat' to fit the alen/hex driver into. Ball driver makes this much easier too.
The stock screws are fine too really, I used to line up the motor and tighten with a ball driver, then use the little hex tool (short side to the head) and tighten them up properly.
My mate takes the whole thing off (the joined motor mount ) and mounts the motor, but I think that's a little excessive, but works pretty well. If you don't change pinion and motor much.. its not a common thing to do.

I'm using cap heads. Having trouble finding cap head titanium that are short enough. I think I need 3x6mm. 3x8 seems to be too long with the Speed Passion motor.
