Team Durango DEX410 4WD 1/10 Off-Road Buggy Thread

Looks good. The shock towers look to be for the DESC but will work. Sometimes I run the rear tower if I need more adjustment.

sorry

Where did you purchases these screws? Might have to get me a set

Just got some new shock towers from Smokem to try on my DEX. Quality of the carbon is very nice and there are more shock positions for fine tuning.
Also picked up a set of Hiro Seiko titanium screws. The heads look like they are forged in so they should be quite hard wearing and won't strip easily. Can't wait to get them on the car!

What does everyone like for motor screws? I like to run titanium screws like Lunsford but have had to switch to using other brands since there isn't' much room. Also I've noticed it's easy to use a screw that's too long for the motor in this car. Certain motors have less depth for mounting screws. Speed passion compared to Orion for example I had to use slightly shorter screws. Seems like 3x5mm is safe but doesn't give you a lot of thread to hold onto. 3x6mm actually seemed too long.

picture from this weekend's Euro Offroad Series.
Seems like Jorn is coming back with his dex4(2)10.

still workin' on my version of the v5

Think I might try cramming one of these in for $20 vs spending more than $70 on a desc410 diff/motor mount setup.

that's interesting…..I've heard (Jorn) he's been experimenting with this idea. Kinda like the Xray idea and Team C. Seems like the 410 might be heavier even without the front transmission than a regular 210. Curious indeed….I may need to buy myself a spare 410!

@EKT: Nice tip on the front end mod

Winning a 2WD kinda says otherwise. Being as I LOVE the look of the 410 over any other buggy I would LOVE to have a 2WD version so I can stockpile a bunch of spares of just a single model. Having once lost my front drive shaft in a race I know how well a 2WD version of this buggy can perform.

how to keep the mud from shoveling into the rear skid on a wet track?
or are you guys not running a skid or a different skid. i really dont want to use the weighted skid as i have weighted mine otherwise.

Remove all other weight and get the Brass Skid Plate. It's the best thing you can do. The stock skid plate is a damn plow!

what about the t bone plate is it any better?

If it's just clay or wet ground, remove the rear skid, let the screw exposed, it's fine.
