And also how are you guys modding it to for a shorty pack? I have two packs and would rather use them then have to sell them and buy saddles

seems like some of the chassis even have screw holes for shorty drilled.
I had to drill my own, and used kyosho rb6 battery post with a piece of carbon fiber from other broken cars.

I have two pieces of foam taped to either side of my shorty to stop side to side movement.

Not all shorties fit straight in lengthwise either. Venom 3800 does, SMC 4600 doesn't. Another guy I've seen running Turnigy 4200 and they seem to fit fine also.

yep, for me, either trim the rear diff hoop, or trim the motor mount's clip part. Since I've got a few extra plastic diff hoop left, I just cut off the extra bit of diff hoop off.

Draw back is that the stock battery holder doesn't work anymore. So I need to make my own, with some battery post and a small piece of left over carbon fiber.

I've run hobbywing for years with no issue. Currently running the 150A esc in my 1/8 buggy.

im trying to increase the rear toe to 4 degrees. i saw on the durango site on desc410 you use the L 1 degree hub on right side and vise versa to get the desired 4 degree.

but looking at the dex410 one degree hubs. it looks like the L hub on the left side brings the toe to the 4 degree. so is it backwards like the desc410 or normal like most other manufactueres?

From what I remember it's read from the front of the car. Meaning the writing is facing forward. So ya I believe it's opposite of other manufacturers.

the thing is. it looked like I degreased rear toe when I put the L one on the R side instead of increasing it to 4 degree like the desc410 tip sheet suggest. I cant figure out if my eyes are playing tricks on me.

but at this point my eyes looked like putting the L one on the left side increased toe to 4 degree. can anyone else confirm please?

That makes sense. It has 3* at the block, so you need to add 1*, putting them on the correct side, not reduce 1* with them on the wrong side

Just got some new shock towers from Smokem to try on my DEX. Quality of the carbon is very nice and there are more shock positions for fine tuning.

Also picked up a set of Hiro Seiko titanium screws. The heads look like they are forged in so they should be quite hard wearing and won't strip easily. Can't wait to get them on the car!
