Team Durango DEX410 4WD 1/10 Off-Road Buggy Thread

I was temping a bit high and removed the plastic in front of the motor and it cooled down to 140*F. I am having glitching problems running a Spektrum radio and a Savox servo, so I have already ordered the BEC. I found some room beside my ESC, on the motor side. I had a blast tonight in my first race. These are so smooth around the track and make me look way better than I am. The glitching was very obvious. I noticed the wings don't last very long. Were can I get a pack of them for a good price???

I've always just defaulted to the JC wing. as long as you don't mess up the cut job they last. Easy to find too.

The Durango "straight wing" that comes with the V4 kit, which is the same as the Dex210 wing is a very durable piece..

Nice build. Interesting though that they continue to produce that damn snow plow rear skid plate rather than just include the weighted one. Also the servo saver should be the aluminum one. I'd still go with the metal diff gears and pins. This car is simply too powerful for the plastic and I imagine after a few months of running the oil will have plastic particles floating around. I have the metal pins and gears in mine and when I rebut them last week I had to replace the pins because the gears wore grooves in them.
All little things I'd expect would be of better quality, considering the hefty price tag.

First race with the 410 tonight! Missed TQ by 3 sec, but made it up in the main with a win! This buggy is dialed.

Have been taking pictures of my v4 build

Yeah I know that's good. If you read back I was saying if I run anything bigger than an 18t pinion I would have problems with it getting hot. Someone commented that 18t was too low. I actually never tried anything bigger than an 18t with my 6.5 but with my 7.5 it would get too hot with anything bigger. So when I threw my 6.5 with the 18t I just left it and haven't tried anything bigger because its fine.
I'm currently running Orion VST Pro 6.5 in my 410 and I have similar temp ranges, maybe a little lower since it's winter right now.
Do you ever make it to SCVRC in Santa Clarita or OCRC down in Huntington Beach?

Race Report from Dallas:
Had a great weekend of racing this past weekend! We had 9 4wd buggies on the track 4 XB4, 3 DEX410 (2 v3, 1 v4), and 2 B44! Everyone showed up to race but in the end an XB4 took the win but close on his heels were 2 DEX410s. The v4 driver that got 2nd was running the box setup for the most part and he came out swinging from the fences! I ended up 3rd with my v3, I feel I could've pushed my buggy a little harder had I run different tires and drove a little more consistently. Well for this week I'm testing tires and working on my consistency to try and take that top spot from that XB4!!

Nice.
For what it's worth, the XB4 is heavily based on the 410.
Next time kick that XB-4's teeth in! LOL
