speed is relative. even 50mph gets old after the 1st couple passes down the driveway. then it ends up in the back tire of the explorer in need of a front end parts.

Man it will do 70 on a 3s lipo with zero hop-ups. Plus it comes with a speed control that will run any of the 3 types of motors out there(brushed, sensored brushless, or sensorless brushless) with the flux and the speed t you are pretty much stuck with sensorless brushless motors.

But the speed control has ZERO programmibility.

This is what n00bs always do, they ask for the fastest car for a certain amount of money. There are many other factors-durability, handling, and maintence.

For a battery, look at the Promatch 7 cell Energ 4600 matched. And get 2 of them becasue your gonna need it!

More mAh = more run time, never ran brushless myself but with a brushed motor and a 3300 mAh battery I got 15-20 minutes of runtime average.

I think it is somewhere around 40-45 mph, depending on gearing.

about 45mph with high quality cells. The VXL is the fastest. Motor KV is only one aspect of reaching top speed. It will definitely hit 70+ with a 3s lipo and the optional 31 tooth pinion. Stock gearing will easily push it to around 60-65mph. A very fun car, but make sure you stock up on spare parts. curbs and those speeds don't mix very well. It also handles like a school bus, but you really only drive it in straight lines anyway.
