Default Speed Passion SP 1/8 speed control

Is anyone familiar with the Speed Passion SP 1/8 speed control? Is it a viable speed control for an electric 1/8 buggy/truggy? What about the 2200kv motor that comes in the combo? Any info is appreciated.
