Between the two, I'd get Novak. They have pretty good cutomer service and have a nice trade-up program.

what are you using it for? I have the novak system, but the esc is huge and awkward to place in some cars.

OP: Do your homework on them, talk to local racers or people who actually use the stuff. Ignorant posts like the one above won't help. I use the Mamba and I have zero complaints about it. MM w/ a 5700kV is a lethal combination. I can't say a word about Novak because I haven't used their gear, but I'm pretty sure it's damn nice. One nice thing about Caste Creations is their customer service and warranty. They are very honorable and will take care of you should something go wrong with your stuff.

What are you running? 6s or 3S? A 3S on the 5700 is going to be nuts. 3S on the HV5.5 will be intersting to setup since that system is looking for two batteries.

It depends what you are going to do with the system. If you want to run 13.5, 17.5 or other sensored motors in non mod classes then the Novak might be the better choice for you. If you only plan on running mod and don't plan to use any sensored motors and want one of the most adjustable updateable speedos on the market for a good price then the Castle is the way to go.

Opinions are going to vary on what is better and why so you will always get many different opinions. Just go with the one you think is best for you as ultimately you are the one going to be running it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you guys are dults. do you guys not understand the question he's obviously building something big like a 1/8 scale or monster truck. hence the mamba monster or the HV. i think in larger scales the mamba might be better but depending on how soon you want it tekin is comming out with an esc/motor combo that is supposed to be good but i'd like to see how well it stands up first its the first sensored combo for something that big. with that said i wouldent get the mamba motor i'd look at the neu 1515 or 1512. that seems to be the dialed set-up on larger scale cars. although i hear the neu has a wireing issue at times.

by the way smiley what car are you building?

the novak can be easily changed to a single 3s configuration and the internal bec will still work.

I've got one of the original hv esc's running a 4cell pack. you need an ubec for that though.
