Default RC8T question

I just ordered a FT RC8T and I'm going to convert it to electric.
Does anyone use the factory wheels or do you run a different offset?
What tires are best for a sandy track?
This is my first 1/8 scale truggy so I'm new to this. I've got the mamba monster and two 40c 5000mah thunder power packs but not sure what motor to get and what gear to start with. My track is a 1/10 scale track with a 80ft straight away.

Thanks Rob

Use the standard offset wheels that come in the kit. The truck is very wide out of the box. Some guys are trying to narrow the truck up for smaller tracks. AE is coming out with new hubs that will narrow the truck up but I don't think they are out yet so guys are using the Kyosho STR ones.
