That has been out for awhile..overkill! The hitec's (ti series) can handle the 2s lipos no problem at half the price.

I'd say it will take over when the prices comes down by about 75%! Looks nice, but DAMN that's an expensive servo

7955 or the old 5955, the specs don't say it but they can handle it. Plus hitec has the best cs in the industry...blow it up and get e new replacement plus they are in your backyard.

Nice servo for sure but @ $200 I won't be needing it for anything soon.

what's it mean 2s lipo capatible or whatever? what makes any other servo NOT work with 2s lipo?

i look at this like the Mamba Max vs Monster Mamba Max. The Mamba Max was rated at i think 3s. but people were running at 4s and 5s. the monster wast the official up to 6s ESC. Same with the servo. Standard servos are rated up to 6v, yet some people are using 2s packs. This servo is the official 2s servo. im sure more servos will be rated at 2s and price will come down as more servos will be rated high voltage.

I run the Hitec TG-5955 servos in my brushless Mugen MBX5R and in my nitro Mugen cars. The servo is rated at 0.15 sec and 333 oz's of torque on 6.0 volts. But I run a 2S LiPo Rx pack in my car which goes direct to the receiver (no regulator). On 7.4 volts the Hitec TG-5955 servo makes 417 oz's of torque with a speed of 0.12 sec. The 5955 servo is basically the same servo as the Hitec 5995 robot servo except that it has the standard 75* of travel (versus the 180* of travel on the robot servos).
