Default All Around 1/10th servo

Normally, I race 1/10th off-raod. I was lured over the summer to do some on-road. I took the KO PDS-2413 servo out of my xxx-4 and put it in a xxx-s for vintage trans am. I just bought a xxx-cr and my son has a T4. The T4 servo is a cheapie (and drives like it), and then all we have is the 2413. For its size, weight(1.6), torque (118), and speed (0.10) (IIRC), I would rather just buy a couple/three of them or so and use them everywhere. I am just not sure if it has enough recommended torque for the T4 -- anyone know. Anyone else have a favorite do-all servo?

Response speed for a steering servo on the T4 doesn't need to be too fast otherwise it can appear twitchy and you end up dialing back the response on your transmitter anyways. Just find a decent Metal Gear servo (so you can lock down the servo saver pretty tight) with a speed of around .15, any torque value above 100-125 will be fine for the T4.

id say the futaba bls 451 is a great choice. its fast and has some good power. i use the 9452, and it seems to do good in onroad and offroad.

+1

I run the Futaba 9451 for steering in most 10th scale vehicles. I use it also for throttle / brake in my 8th scale nitro stuff. I have also run the 9452 with just as good of luck.

Fr an option, the Airtronics 94357 is similar specs but not digital and costs less.
