By comparison of racing 2WD truck or 1/8 Truggy/Buggy, the Slash is nearly maintenance free.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who has to buy x3. I'd love to have a Slash, and it's priced perfectly, but anything I buy has to be done in threes and have to be virtually identical in performance. I have three Rustlers right now that I've pieced together but I'd prefer the realistic look and movement of the Slash. While I like building kits, again, when you're buying and trying to keep three cars running, it's better when they are low maintenance and it seems that the verdict on the Slash. Hopefully people will keep buying them = more used ones on eBay.
