The only sketchy part of this track looks to be the "step-down".... if you want to call it that! Last year's track may have been faster, but this looks like it flows better.
While I'm an on-road guy myself I did attend the mains last yr and did turn a few laps on that track myself. In my opinion the jumps are harder this yr as many of them lead into hard turns with small landing areas. In watching some club raceing last week and some practice yesterday I feel certain that the lap times will be longer this yr. The track does flow very nice and if you get into a good rythym its a fun track, just not a high flying balls to the wall track.

So is any site going to give updates like live rc since they are all mad at each other?

The fastest thing at the track was a "dust-devil"....to me it was a mini tornado that took out a good chunk of pop-ups. Yes that Kyosho pop-up that is demolished and the Hot Bodies tent in the electric wires.

From watching practice, there is more trouble jumping up onto the top of the over/under than coming off of it.

UPDATE on 2wdrc! Of course got some details on the wind-storm carnage, as well as some modified lap times from the practice round, and more general pics up.

Good luck to Paul and the Xfactory guys and to my old friends Ricky Gaynor and Charles Hicks

Looks like Gaynor is in the top 10 in the mock qualifying run

2wdrc.com appears to be the only site online covering the race. Keep up the good work guys!

Well, if my HUSBAND said so.. then I guess that's my opinion as well.... LOL

I said 'oh really' because it was so obvious last year's intent... we had a track built that was different than any other Cactus layout. That was the intent. To mix it up and try new things...... I liked the elevation changes and I liked the quickness of the racing. It made for spectacular finishes.

This year is definately more technical and that is awesome! Different styles will be pronouced more and more as the weekend progresses. I'm never a fan of bridges but this one was well constructed and well though out and kudos to the SRS crew for thinking outside of the box!

Hopefully no one hits their head if they have to get a car under that bridge.
