Paul says it's very difficult to drive a XXX-4 fast without a 1-way. Overall, it goes through corners more under control and with greater exit speed with a 1-way.

Yes, I am manufacturing and marketing the X - 5 conversion kit, which converts a xx-4 to single-belt drive. There's more about it elsewhere on this forum, and for full information you should check www.4wdrc.com . That's the web site devoted to all electric wheelers, regardless of make.

Brad, I didn't know you included a 1-way, and you're right -- the price is about even. I think Losi needs to fix the problem with their 1-way.

I truly wish you and Jason the very best with your car -- hope you sell a million of them! It'll be great for the class, and that will help everybody -- racers and manufacturers alike.

Thumbs up BJ4 Update: Final Price & Release Date!

Here is a posting from Brad Reelfs on behalf of JConcepts over on rc10b4.com with regrads to the info many have been waitng and asking for:

"Ok, here is the latest news that we have. We are still waiting on a few parts from a couple different suppliers. Based on what they have told us, we should have everything within the next three weeks. That's right about the time that Jason and I will be at the Nationals, so we expect to start packing and shipping kits after the Nationals (we get back on June 14).

The other question people have been asking is price. We are going to set the retail price at $500. However, we will give a
10% discount to everyone on the preorder list. Because the first batch of kits will not be enough for everyone on the list, we will continue to accept preorders. So, you can still sign up and get the 10% discount."

Thumbs up The BJ4 Has Now Been RELEASED!!!

Finally after months of waiting due to extended but precise testing plus making sure all parts from suppliers were received & ready for packaging, the BJ4 is now being made available to everyone on the Pre-Order List which is now at 760! JConcepts will go down the list and e-mail everyone on it to let them know when it's their turn to send in the payment for the kit & any other items to be ordered! Here are 2 pics of some just completed BJ4 kits owned by some of the luckier guys who got on the Pre-Order List early -

Thumbs up BJ4 Wins It's 1st ROAR 4WD National Title!!!

Its Official! The BJ4 IS A NATIONAL CHAMPION!!! Rod Rippee drove it to back to back A-Main wins to take the Title after only driving the car for 2 weeks!!! I'm sure this will be the first of many 4WD Championship Titles for the BJ4 and JConcepts! A Big Congrats to EVERYONE involved in designing and building this Amazing 4WD kit!!!

Here is a post from someone who was there:

Congratulations to JConcepts!! The BJ4 is now officially a Losi killer!

The first "A" was very exciting when Chris Baumgartner finished 2nd behind Rod but eventually settled for a great 3rd overall finish, while Chad Knapp finished 7th and Justin Dewey finished 10th!

I saw 6 BJ4's total : 2 in the "B" - 4 in the "A"

If your counting that was 5 Losi's- 4 BJ4's- and 1 Yoke in the "A"... Lets hope this is the beginning of a new trend!

Cain: I don't have my BJ4 yet but it shouldn't be too long now!

As I'm sure already know, the best place to see and request for BJ4 pics plus get info on it is here:

paulc: As it stands, they are working on mailing out Pre-Order # 55. Just have your cash handy so that when you get your e-mail notification from JConcepts telling you that your new Off-Road 4WD is ready... it will be a quick & smooth transaction!

Heya Aaron, whats with a negative comment like that?

When was the last time anything but a losi won anything at all in 4wd???

I think it can only be good for 4wd, have 2 competitive cars out there!!

Like Mr-s413bt said, the more competition, the better for the class.

I got reports that one of the vehicles in the A-main was an Academy SB driven by Jon Noon. Can anyone confirm this?

I frequent that site as well, but I haven't seen a pic of the motor mount. The manual though makes it look like it isn't a cam style, which is good.
