Default WIW: Traxxas SRT

I just bought an EMaxx from a guy and he had this SRT that he bought new. He was getting out of RC and I am getting into it so I got everything he had. I don't know much about the Traxxas SRT other then he bought it new, I have the original manual and box. What can you tell me about it and what is it worth?

NOW for sale - $125

You bought a very nice piece of Traxxas History. Congratulations!! All I can really tell you is that finding parts might be a pain but thats motivation to not break. Good Luck with the new car.

I was racing 2wd stadium trucks when this came out. It was top of the line and owned the track... until associated came out with I think their T2 I was running a truggy conversion at the time. I'm glad you posted it brought back some memories. I think it will be very hard to find parts for this as Traxxas quit building it very quickly after associated and Losi took over.

That SRT was made when Traxxas was seriously chasing national titles. That is an awesome piece of history!! If you are thinking about selling it (which I wouldn't) check out www.tamiyaclub.com ---there are guys on there that would be VERY interested in what you have. Probably to collect, not to run.

TRx-1, TRX-3 anyone?

Wow - I did not realize I had found such a cool piece of "racing history." I will definitely be selling before one of my kids get their hands on it. I will post some pics of the original box and manual tomorrow for those who care...

atp, if you are serious about selling, let me know. when you have enough posts to accepts PM's (I think you need 10), send me one with what you are looking for $$-wise.

I do collect vintage race class cars, and I do run them (on a track) occasionally. I would love to add this truck to my collection of RC10s and Losi JRX series vehicles.

I remember that truck as I use to race one when they came out. From what I remember the truck was excellent thru the bumps and was a great jumping truck but it didn't have as much steering as the T2 did without spending some time on the setup but overall was a real nice running truck.

Sometimes I think Traxxas should make a few things that are for racing and would come without a radio.

Man that thing is excilent. Has it ever been run? Those are awsome trucks.

Looking closer at it. It is basically an older slightly racier looking rustler. Traxxas could make a great race truck if they tried I think. They didn't even try with the revo and it dominates
