Default how many different versions of the xxx buggy

i would like to know how many differnt versions of the xxx buggy there is.
i have one am not real positive which one it is.
i know its not the xxx-cr. the rear huns are different.
i pretty sure it isnt the xxx-bk2 - from pictures i have seen the bk2 has a square hole in the chassis at the transmission on the bottom.
i am thinking it is the bk1. the body has some stickers on it. one does say xxx and another says team kinwald.

did they make any other versions?
i would post a pic but right now i am too tired to get everything out.
if need be i can post some up tomorrow.

Yeah and some people changed tranny on BK2 to BK version, because they liked it more.

there was also a spec edition with bushings and the dreaded blue rubber tires and molded outdrives and slide shaft bones.

well i dont think its the spec ed. it has the metal cvd type( i think thats what they are called)
i know alot of people that have the bk1 have converted over and used the xxx-cr parts.
can this be done on the original xxx also.
whats the main diff besides graphite parts between the kinwald edition and the orig. xxx.

i will try and get some pictures up tomorrow night
what would be the best area on the car to take pictures so you can tell

If it's an original XXX I would keep the car pretty much as is unless something is worn and needs replaced. If you want to upgrade a bit the VLA front arms are worth changing, and the steering rack, then maybe the front shock tower, but that is about it. The diff is a little better, but not really that big of a change.

I changed my XXX-CR back to the original XXX pivot and rear arms. The CR pivot just doesn't work as well in a lot of cases.

But this is of course all just my opinion.

Dawg- There are 5 versions of the buggy.
Like tim stated:
Standard xxx kit - 1999
Kinwald edition - 2001
BK2 - 2003
XXX-CR - 2006
Then a Spec version with Blue Shocks(Non threaded)

The differences between the Original XXX version and the XXXbk1 version are:
On the BK1
Threaded shocks
Titanium Turnbuckles
Graphite Chassis,Servo Brace, battery bar, arms and rear shock tower.
Ball Bearing Steering.

If your car has NON threaded shocks, black steel turnbuckles, and No graphite on it at all then it's a original XXX with a composite called Stifzell.

Get pics up and we can help but the information I just gave you may help.

Still a competitive car.

Les

Yep that is the spec XXX. I had that one. It had those kind of shocks and that black front shock tower with little blue speckles!

Note that those were aftermarket front a-arms and turnbuckles.

BTW How do you just post the picture?
