Questions?? Traxxas Rustler VXL vs Bandit VXL

which is better? i know they both have the same thing in it, velineon brush less system and stuff, but arent they practically the same? which would you pick?
the rustler is a truck and the bandit is a buggy.

w do you figure there the same? You said it yourself. Ones a truck, ones a buggy. Get the rustler (or better yet the stampede). The bandits are lame.

which do YOU think is the best in the category of...
1.speed,
2.handling,
3.race spec(meaning which is better for racing)
3.response
4.Fun-ness,

What type surface will you be running on? I am not a racer, so most of my running is in my yard/driveway. I chose the VXL Stampede and Rustler because they have a bit more ground clearance than the Bandit. I don't own the Bandit (yet), so I can't offer any advise other than maybe considering the terrain you will be driving on...JMO...FWIW.

Happy New Year,

Jim

well, its a dirt track but kinda hard and dry. so basicly, people like the rustler because of the ground clearance and because it can take a beating right? or something like that, lets keep track of scores,
rustler: 2 votes
bandit: 0 votes

forget the traxxas if your going to race it. look into the t4 rtr by team associated. it handles stuff better and the velineon isn't as fast as your think.

Rustler is much more versatile. There are many more parts available for the Rustler than the Bandit. Rusty is more stable due to it's wider stance. You see a lot of people convert their Bandit to a Rustler but hardly ever see anyone convert a Rustler to a Bandit.

Dadx2mj, you have got a point there. the bandit is like a needle doing fast, and when it corners, it flips on its side. meaning the rusty has a lower center of gravity compared to the bandit. right?
scores,
rustler: 3 votes
bandit: 0 votes

I think the main reason why the Bandit doesn't sell as well as the Rustler is that the stock Bandit body is sort of visually-challenged.

My opinion is get the rustler because it has the low center of gravity, you can strap anything to it and it would flip of roll over very easily The bandit I can run a 7.4 lipo and when you go to turn it goes......tumbleing down the road, because of how small the width is Stampede has a high senter of gravety so if your mainly runing on the road or drive way this is not the truck, if you put any lipo in it and run it on the road its going to flip My vote is for the rustler
