If your LHS has parts support then why not.

buy the MT racer (trust me on this one I have a MT)
get a good engine and good electronics and you will be set for long hours of fun.

DO NOT GET THE KIT OR RTR! the more you spend now is A LOT less in the long run.

The first Nitro I bought was a NMT. My son also has one. Although the NMT racer has a lot of option parts, I found that half the fun of going nitro is upgrading the truck. My son has the slipper clutch on his, and he keeps striping spur gears. I have the stock spur gear and it is working great. The racer does come with MIP CVDs, however I only run CVDs on the rear. The front kept breaking. I would go with the NMT, Great truck.

I will agree some of the fun is in upgrading but that is big $$$! It is easier to get stuff that you wont have to/want to replace soon after you buy the truck.

yeah they are great trucks..very durable and just allround good

not only is it duriable but it can go from off road basher to driveway drifter with almost no changes!!

mohamed_own 10-20-2003 10:10 PM

Which MT car is the most durable out there.

corvettecrazy 10-21-2003 12:14 PM

they are all basicly the same

just depends what you want to spend your money on and when.

If I had to do it over again I would buy a MT racer and get nice parts to start with OR personally I would buy used and get all the common hop ups and the truck for a cheaper price.
