No, this is not true. The tires, and such are for blue groove, but the buggy has high suspension travel, and the B3 is actually quite similiar to the XXX.

The B4 has taken the rules to an extreme, and AE has noticed, unlike Losi, that tracks are blue-groove, and hard packed. The really long arms, and short shocks plus lowered suspension arms show that the B4 is a smooth track specialist.

Is the AE unique?Yes! Very different from AE's old copies of Losi stuff.Look at the old RC10, unchanged for at least 12 years. It's actually safe to say that only the first time the RC10 won. Subsequently AE had PROTOTYPES
that they never sold. AE didn't change their car until after 93' when Kinwaldo started racing for Losi.

In fact the roles have reversed, Losi has the staid old buggy and a awesome stable of drivers, while AE has the better car for today's tracks, and only 1-3 awesome drivers:Amezcua, Pavidis etc.

Again, Losi's mistake was overconfidence, like the last few losses to by AE to Losi. 4 years without and upgrade is an AE style error.
Ah, they'll learn their lesson when $$$ales are lost! The BK2 will do no better than the current car.

Aside:

In fact guys, I have both a XXX and B4, but for our track (loamy, big jumps, and ruts) I spank my times with the XXX. When I go to a blue-groove track, the XXX just kind of goes wide and smooth no matter what adjustments I make.

Ruff your killing me here cause I dont take many things serious nor R/C.I congradulated Billy and AE numerous times.I did look back on what I wrote with the help of one I should have said Jukka and not brian. Not much sleep since driving back. For you guys to think the XXX isnt designed for Clay or BlueGroove tracks is a JOKE though.Thats the funniest thing I have heard in quite some time.If you guys know so much why not tell me who mainly designed the B4 and who he ran for before Associated employeed him?I like the B4 and the XXX but hands down in the average person's hands the XXX handles better and is more stable where the B4 is more agressive.Thats just the characteristics of the car.I really thought Travis would have done better this year.Thats the guy on the way up and scary fast.I congradulate Billy and AE with the win ONE MORE TIME but to take this to which car is better is plain STUPID.Im a hell of a driver on most surfaces and will say that both cars are a great choice but the B4 seems to be thrown around alot due to weight and design on some rough tracks where as the losi seems smoother NO MATTER THE SETUP(Even Shared with Current Sponsored A MAIN GUYS).On smoother tracks its a hard choice and will be picked by the driver.Plus Buff I never said something TOWARDS you but in general and you just took them that way.I never said BUFF did this or did that on alot of things. So who's taking things too serious or personal?I would say it's you my man.Sorry.
One last time and if you feel that you miss me that much Buff it's real easy.Email me.It's [email protected] because due to the knowledge you think you know on the XXX NOT being designed for Smooth bluegroove tracks(This is funny) and that the B4 doesnt have a TON of shared idea's.
I like the B4 and Totally respect Billy as one of the top 10 drivers in the world today and this year he's on top.Congrads Billy for the win.

Well all i have to say after reading aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall this crap, is....

AE RULZ and congratulations, and Billy and AE fans dont worry about the crying Losi fans. They will have their chance to gloat in 2 years, and if they win they will talk all kind of smack like they have for the last few worlds. CONGRATS to AE and BILLY and the other guys that put on an impressive show. Heck I will even congratulate BK, as he won the worlds in an associated in 1993, and if AE let him drive for them, he must be alright. Losi just had to pay him more and steal him from AE to make their product look better. LOL.

congratulations to team AE and Losi for a good showing.
Billy deserves the win and ae for releasing a long awaited
update to the b3. As for Billy winning no matter what car he drives
i think at the highest level of racing the equipment matters
even more because the skill level is so close. unlike club level
racing where you can out drive someone with a better car.

Being there from 4wd qualifying thru the awards ceremony, the Minnreg crew all need to be commended to running an awesome event. There were some computer gremlins early on in 4wd that the crew worked to get ironed out, and that was the worst snafu of the event. For everyone there, I want to express thanks from those of use sticking cameras, microphones, and notebooks in your face asking you the same question you've answered a billion times....Thanks, we couldn't do our jobs without you.

As far as some on here talking about take out maneuvers and such... Billy had the #1 position, thanks to his awesome runs in the last rounds of qualifying. Brian was 2nd. The top four normally got off the line very cleanly. Jukka tapped the inside pipe in the turn before the doubles in the first round, leaving Jason no-where to go. Was there contact? Yes. Was it deliberate? No way! And I just looked at the picture of that crash, Rick Howart was on the inside of Jason, with his front end UNDER Jukka's right rear. But even if there wasn't contact, would Jukka have contended for the win? Nope. Oh, There was also a driver out there driving a Losi chassis who had similar encounters with traffic, but I won't name names. These guys are the best of the best fellas, and if you saw Billy drive throughout the year you knew he had to be one of the favorites to win the Worlds. His 4wd results go to support this as well. He was the only non-XXX-4 chassis in the A, and that was because he drove his butt off.

I have no bias in this matter. I have friends in both camps. Billy's car looked to me like the fastest on the track during Thursday controlled practice, followed by Mark and Matt. I am happy for Billy and AE for their 2wd win. They worked hard to recapture the title. Ciff designed one hell of a car, and Billy drove with determination.

So if you drive a B4 and you get beat, does that mean you aren't a good driver????????????

no but it's not by accident that ae is winning alot more events
on a consistent basis since the b4 debut and not just billy.
if the car does not matter i guess we would still have the same
cars from 10 years ago.

that comment on the car helping is in regards to poeple
posting billy could have won with any thing. he's a great driver
and i would give him just as good a chance with a hand full
of drivers to win every event. as for driving of course it counts
its a given that all those guys can drive thats why they are
getting paid to drive. So in short the car has proven to be a
winner in the right hands of course.
