The trailing axle and the inline axle are 2 completely different parts.
Inline Axle (#6220)

Trailing Axle

If you want to run the Inline axles you will also need the compatible Steering Blocks (#6221). Good luck.

I assume your talking about the blue aluminum factory team front axles they are center drilled for a 4-40 screw.
You can take the regular steel trailing axles and cut the threads off, drill and tap them for a 4-40 screw they will never break.

inline means 'the axle is inline with the spindle'

trailing means 'the axle is behind the spindle'

and thus the need for a different carrier - (steering block)
