Novak gtb vs havoc
 

Ok folks I am currently running in stock with the gtb/velocity 17.5 from novak. I am looking @ purchasing another novak system for my 2wd stock car and am seriously considering the havoc combo. I know it isnt out yet but the 8.5t combo is. Has anyone done a comparison between the 8.5 gtb/velociti and the 8.5 havoc combo? The price of the havoc is awesome but not really much point if the gtb/velociti is faster.....Your thoughts please :nod:

If your going to run a motor lower than 8.5 BL or 27t brushed then get the GTB. The GTB also has less resistence but isnt very noticeable. I am getting the GTB just because I have a bunch of <27 turn brushed motors.

I ran an XBR esc (older Havoc) in my RDX and did'nt think there was much difference between it and a GTB until I put a GTB into my RDX. There was not a huge difference but a noticeable one. With the GTB the car was faster.

The GTB puts out 4 times more amps then the Havoc esc and has twice amps for the BEC 3.0v to 1.5v.

The Havoc will be a good esc. I still use my XBR in my 12th scale and it works well in there.

Ok so the havoc is a rebadged xbr. I am not really worried about motor limit as the most popular class here by far is stock. Is the motor that comes with the combo the same as the velociti? If not then I may as well stick with the same gtb/velociti combo as I am very happy with it ;)

The 8.5 motor that comes with the Havoc is not the same as the SS motor that comes with the GTB.

Yah I would say stick with the GTB as well.

If you were on a budget then I could see going with the Havoc.
