Hi everyone,

We just got some great news for this event. Myself, Josh, Eric, and Scotty will all be attending this race to broadcast it LIVE on LiveRC.com. We will be doing this much like we did at the 1/8th Nitro Off-Road Worlds, with multiple manned cameras, TV style coverage, interviews, a DVD, and more. More details will follow in the near future, but make sure to tune in Feb. 26-Mar. 1 to watch one of the greatest races in r/c make its return!

Is it a control tire event? Yes, tires will be sold at the event.
- Which tyres will be used?

The Ko, Sanwa or Futaba 2.4GHz modules and receivers sold in Japan are different than the Ko 2.4GHz for the US.
- I got mine from Australia. I will have to find out if it is OK.

Which tyres will be used? I don't know but if I had to guess maybe Panther... I haven't put much thought into it since it will be my only choice.

If I have it right, you should be OK with your radio. I think only the US versions have the higher power.

Brandon,
That's great news! See you at the race

Yes, these are the same HD cameras we used for the Worlds. Josh and I will be manning the cameras.

I'm getting prepped for this event now. I have great memories of Yatabe and I'm looking to add some more.

Jason, Are you going to be there? I should be in the Yatbe area Friday the 27th for practice. I'll help you with Japanese if you'll help me with my set-up

I picked up the latest RC Sports, a Japanese RC magazine. Here is a list of Pro drivers entered as per the magazine, there may be more now.
H. Matsuzaki (JPN), J. Pillars (USA), J. Rouna (USA), T. Amezcua (USA), L. Martin (UK), N. Matsukura (JPN), J. Tebo (USA), R. Maifield (USA), and R. Cavalieri.

I'll try to get the article scanned and posted later.

With the event only a few days away, does anyone know of any other websites that will be providing any coverage, pictures etc?

Also, on what day does LiveRC... errr... go live... ?

Looking forward to following this, good luck in particular to any Brits attending!

Here are my 2009 Yatabe rides. I'll start the drive to Yatabe tomorrow night.

2WD Team Associated B4

4WD Team Associate/Team Azarashi Mid44

Both running Team Azarashi bodies, M11, Team Orion Vortex ESC's, and Team Orion Vortex motors.

See you guys there!

Lucky! That's awesome! Looks like I won't get much accomplished the next couple of days at work.

It's great to see the Reedy Off-Road Race making a come back. That was THE premier off-road race in the 1990s.

What times is it on? USA time?

Liverc.com is awesome. It covers all these great events, but does a surprisingly awful job of putting out ANY 411 about these events?????? Who, what, where, why, when... than UPDATE it! PLZ! A simple 'coverage' blog on liverc would clear up a lot of confusion. It's hard to be an rc bum when you don't have all the 411!
