Default why is it so hard to find stadium truck kits?

I'm somewhat interested in getting back to the hobby. I want an electric stadium truck just to play (bash) around with. But I want an unbuild kit. Preferably no electronics, but I would take it with a b/l motor and esc.
I've been out of the r/c scene for about 3 years. I just can't find an inexpensive kit just to bash around with. I used to have a traxxas rustler. Definitely not a racer, but that thing was built like a tank.

Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

Man i dont think anybody makes a ST in kit form that's not a serious racer quality kit anymore. The ones rb5 listed are about it for kits. another is the kyosho RT5 that should be released shortly, but seriously ithink those 4 are about it for choices in kit form.

For un-built kits, RB Five hit the only ones you're likely to find in your LHS.

Rustler and Evader are probably the only other 2 you will find and they are both pre-built.

If you don't need a "race " kit try the Thunder Tiger Phoenix st kit.It is based on the Associated T3 kit and parts will interchange.Kits sell for less than $100 w/bushings .Bearing kit sell for aound $25.Best thing is,it still is a "race" capable truck.

try www.evolutionhobbies.com --they even have parts in stock,or email them.

I'm not ready to buy yet. I'm still contemplating on whether to get one or not.

are these thunder tigers bashworthy? what about rc10t4s..also bashworthy?

I used jump my ruster off of my single story roof, without breaking parts (other than the main gear, only because I didn't have a slipper clutch at that time). I won't be jumping off the roof anymore, but I will probably be doing some pretty big jumps.

if you want to race and bash get a slash, they arew fun to race and fun just to drive and are very durable. Most stadium truck kits are made for racing not bashing.

I was kinda joking

But seriously...if you are looking for a bash around truck, I hear good things about the rustler

Forgot about this one +1

You can go racing in the spec class to with the stock electronics, or drop a brushless in for fun around the house.

I really like the rustler, but for for $10 more I could get the rc10t4 team. I really don't care for the rustler electronics anyways. Back in the day, the rustler was available as a kit for less than $100. Parts are cheap, readily available, and this thing is a beast. If those kits were still available, I'd do it.
I definitely wanna build it. I'm also looking into the hpi, but I'm not sure if those are available as a kit.

your going to spend a grip if you want a kit, just a heads up. FAR cheaper to run a RTR straight out the gate. I would know ) I've got 850 into mine so far

if your debating between the T4, and the Rustler... ive owned a few of both. and if you are racing get the T4, if you are bashing get the rustler.
T4 has much better performance, however the rustler is built traxxas tough, lol

it is, the losi is a much more durable truck though. the chassis flexes so much that it absorbs all the bumps and lands clean.
