Default LiPo battery in rock crawler

I have one of the Nylent 12v rock crawlers and my battery went bad in it. My friend has a 11.2v LiPo battery that is brand new steal in the box and a charger that he said he will sale to me for 10 dollers. Will this battery work in my truck or not? I know its not 12v, but I know that the LiPo is much stronger than a reg battery, and will hurt my motors? Thanks

you can run with the lower voltage without hurting anything but the motors are shitty so when using a lipo it might make em burn out

A "new in the box" 3 cell lipo plus charger for $10? How well do you know this person.... that sounds more than a little fishy.
