I can't find that clear stuff around me. I use the gray version of that and get good results.

At home, heat it with a hairdryer or hold it up to a light bulb, when its hot roll it off.
Trackside, WD40 then clean it again or be a stud and rub it off, no, not rub one out!

That is the same stuff that I use, only it is the one that parma sells. It is the same stuff, but I can find the parma tape a little faster or if I order somthing I can get it at the same time as my parts (from both the LHS and on-line shops)
