Talking Yes, THAT A123 battery company.....

We already know they make some interesting RC batteries and the DEWALT packs can be taken apart by some enterprising RC geeks.

Did you know they're major players in the full scale electric automotive game?

Did you know about the GE connection?

The RC and Tool battery market are small potatoes for what they are after. Not sure if it currently stands true, but they did hold a record for the fastest electric motorcycle and are pushing hard into the automotive market.

Good technology and I can't wait to see what they can really do.

Think about building a .5 ton 200 KW electric pan car. I know I would be the first one in line for one. The average gas car loses about 20% effeciency where as that direct drive would only lose about 5%. Then couple that with like 300lbs of starting torque and I can't imagine what the thing could do.
