Considering the money they've sank into the onroad track in the last year, I don't think its fair to compare anything about the old way to the new way. Its a shame nobody wants to make the drive to try it out.

I've read this whole thread and I was going to just keep reading but I'm a little more compelled to comment now.

Speaking to the example of Jimmy Johnson winning in roundy-round and the viewership dropping off: saying he's got no where to go since he's reached the pinnacle of driving is horse crap. He could try his hand at WRC or F1, both of which I think require a greater breadth of skill than NASCAR.

Getting bumped up from stock to mod IS, I repeat, IS a compliment.....when and only when there are a group of better drivers to bump up to!!!!!!!!! If not, it's crap. I would have definitely wanted to stay in stock if only to "dodge more cars" as someone put it. That at least would be a bigger test than only dodging 2 cars. Anyone remember how hard it is to get around a wild-trigger-fingered driver, stock class or otherwise?!?!

Of course the local racers that like the place and continue to race there are going to come here and pelt you in the nuts with all sorts of stuff. And there also seems to be a few sides to this story as far as others previous experiences are concerned. In my experiences tracks always die this way, great facilities or not. When personal preferences and weight start getting thrown around to cater to anything other than the majority bad things tend to follow. That kind of thing never attracts new racers or entices racers to stay.

Now where's that 'beating a dead horse' emoticon.........

I've raced there a few times, and it's great. Super nice facility, probably the only place I've ever raced at that has kept on schedule (seriously). Really laid back group. I'd be there all the time if it weren't 4+ hours away.

Sounds like Mr. Snake has an excess of "racer ego" to me..........

Without reading the whole thread, it's a bit like being asked for ID when buying alcohol when you're 29 (like me)... Treat it as a compliment

The owner/organiser of the track has seen you racing, sounds like you're consistant in your lap times and now it's time to go faster

If on the other hand you don't like what you've been told, race elsewhere I guess

I guess the truth has scared Snakes off. Who knew the truth would show what Snake truly is.

Re-opening a thread that's been closed for a month just to bash a guy is not only a cheap shot, but being a true Keyboard Coyboy.
