Team T4 kit, so that way you have enough to spend on the rest.

AE T4
Losi XXX-T MF2 or XXX-T CR

any of these 3 would be a good start. check with the local track and see what most guys are running. that way when you need help at the track you will have people to ask.
Just talk to the track coordinator or MC

You could also go with a brushless Slash.

Are you going to race it, or bash it...?

If you plan to race i would go with the t4... an awesome kit for the money and a great racing rig!

Not Home - I agree with you. I love my XXXT CR. The best part is that it's highly competitive with the setup that comes out of the box. I ran the kit setup for some time with only minor adjustments.

If you're just bashing, then the Assoc. T4. But, if you're thinking about racing, then the XXXT CR. HAHA! The T4 seems better suited for indoor racing and the CR for outdoor.

If you're bashing forget the T4 or XXX, waste of car for kicking about. A Traxxas Slash or something similar would be wayyyy better for bashing. Spend your change on more batteries, spare parts you will break at some stage trying to flip off an 8 foot jump over the neighbours mail delivery truck, and have some fun.
You don't need the 10000 degrees of adjustment a racer has for bashing. You just need a bullet proof chassis
