In most case the stuff they are cloning took years to develop in the US. I try to steer clear of Chinese knock offs as it only hurts the progression of the hobby. Who will spend the time and money to develop a great product when it will only be copied and sold for much less?

I am fortunate to have three great tracks around me and will purchase my items from their shops. It does cost a little more but they are providing us a place to race and not making very much money by doing it.

Well being that my locals tracks both don't have a hobby shop it really isn't that big of a deal to order online, but there is a track in chi-town that has hobby shop but that really isn't local to me (that would be Leisure Hours).

Also A-main has a track http://www.amainhobbies.com/racetrack.php

I don't see the point of driving for 2 hours just to order a part and pic it up.

Stormer hobbies is where I get most of my stuff.

I do support the local hobbytown sometimes, they used to stock alot of parts for us racers but the last few years its gone to almost all backyard basher stuff.

LOL, maybe they do but not in ny or possibly texas or even in florida.

thats all i am syaing.

If you don't have alocal hobby shop then fine buy online. but if your racing somewhere weekly or plan to buy from them. (if they sell stuff to make ends meet)

Look at lir, rchr, and R/c excitement. These are a example of the sort of tracks you should by from. Cause if you don't they will be gone.

I know what you mean. I do get things form thracks with hobby stores/part stores if they have one, but that is only if I am in the area or at the track.
