how did you pitch it to them?

Its important as electric guys trying to get interest in the conversions to pitch the vehicles to nitro guys in a way that is non threatening.

Around here, I have made it a point to always state the following when I ask to participate:

- I am willing to always be placed last not to take someone's spot
- I am willing to not count for any points in the series

This has worked at a good amount of events. There are diehards for sure that are dead set, no electric with nitro as even with the requirements I listed above, that somehow the vehicle hurts the class in there eyes. I don't agree with it of course, but when going to there race, its there show, and I respect that.

You should seriously try pitching it that way. If they know you don't count, you will always be placed "last", more guys are usuallywilling to let you run.

And the main thing is getting the vehicle seen and out there.

You also have to be willing to pit when the nitro guys do......

yup forgot that one. I usually had some pick the buggy up and put it off to the side, count X amount of seconds, and put it on.

Default SC8 kit?

Guys,

I just saw that AE released their brushless conversion kits for the RC8, RC8-T and the SC8. I was wondering if AE will release the SC8 in kit form? I do not want to spend $700 for an RTR that comes with the nitro engine and then convert it!

I am still a little new to the hobby but would guess AE would release the SC8 kit a number months after the original product introduction . What do you guys think?

Cheers!

Few updates !!!

The front of the truck would be towards your left in this picture. The "notch" on the far side will be for the spur gear armor.

Bottom view. This shows the relief cut for the side skirt mounts and the machining to maintain strength under the battery but still providing structure.
