Well, I just bought a Gold Tub off the the for sale section for a good deal. (I thought)

Is there a dedicated vintage RC10 forum? I remember reading about one a while ago....

Now I just need a Tamiya Frog (just don't want to spend 150$ for a new kit) & JRX2 5-link to complete my start of the 'vintage shelf' in my home office.

I'd also like to find a Marui Samurai 4WD someday.....I missed out on a new in box one a while back.....shame on me.

I ran mine for the first time tonight, at first it was all over, then I put a new speed control in and ran it with my m8, what a world of difference. It handled better then my bk2 ever did.

Yeah, it's a little rough....but not my first pick of a car, so was not worried about the chassis too much. I have done aluminum metal polishing in the past, so I was thinking of stripping the anadozing off the tub, and giving it a full polish. It's just gonna sit in my office anyways.....

Here is my old R1 I did a few years back for example:

I helped start a Vintage class at our local track here in Michigan last year. It went pretty well. Everyone had fun and I think it was fun for the other racers to see the old cars again. A couple weeks we had a full heat of 10, but mostly 7 or 8. We didnt bring the Vintage class back this season. Everyone was more interested in the Slash "spec" class.

I plan on running it in stock buggy with the new stuff, it was lighter then a xxx-cr which was weird to see. It does not pay to have it sitting around, it drove better then my old xxx did.

I just won a JRXT & XXX-NT for $80 last night. I really was after the JRXT, so will be cleaning up the XXX-NT for resale shortly......

I think that scale is off...

Antique - line cars, 70s RC stuff
Vintage - Should be a sliding scale. At least 10 years old. (Thats typically how they do it in 1:1 motorcycle roadracing...
Modern Vintage - 4-10 years old
Modern - 4 years and newer
