lipo in b4 buggy

you can run either a 30C 3600mAh or you can run the 25C 4900mah. They both fit great without any modification. Checkpoint are for them by Trakpower so they are the same cells.

You want to get at least 4oz added with most lipo packs. You need even more if you want to equal the weight of a nimh pack, but I find a lot of guys are pretty happy with 4-5 oz added.
For reference, a typical IB4200 6 cell pack weighs 15 to 15.5 oz, and an average 4500-5000 lipo is about 9 to 9.5 oz and 3200-3600 are only 6-7 oz.
I run a 4.2oz lipo-lead plate in my B4, under my Core 5000 pack, and a couple battery foam size pieces behind the pack for a total of about 5.6 oz of added weight.

btw, any added weight plate under the pack might require some dremel work to the batt strap or shock tower to fit well in a B4/T4.

As I understand it the first Checkpoint 5400s had the wrong cells, weren't even 16C I don't think. I believe they will either exchange the battery, or you can keep it and they will sell you a new one for around half price.

would less punch be good in some instances? less wheel spin in mod, with the 16c rated pack?
