I have been making 10-15 minute test runs and everything is going really smooth. Besides the wheel nuts coming loose, even though Associated has the locking ones.

I used a Flight Power 3200mAh 30C 6S (6 cell).

What conversion did you use? The 36 or 44 I am thinking I will use a Neu 1515 2.5d/F Sensorless Brushless Motor I am not sure if it is 36 or 33 mm

Default Associated brushless conversion kit released!

Guys,

I just saw that AE released their brushless conversion kit as well. Fits R8, R8T and SC8. I am just waiting for them to sell the SC8 in a kit. I really do not want the nitro engine and radio with the $700 RTR .

Use the 44mm mount for the Neu 1515/2.5D/F.

We will start pre-orders shortly. We're working hard to get these out real soon. MSRP will be $129.99 (the same as AE's kit), but the Tekno kit includes a 4mm electric specific chassis that optimizes balance in addition to the motor mount and battery tray. The Tekno battery tray sits lower than the AE kit. The Tekno kit will give you the option of direct drive/motor brakes or clutch/mechanical brakes. There's more too...

For reference, the stock RC8T chassis also has an MSRP of $129.99. Do the math and you'll see the Tekno kit will be the best value around.

Is there a 4S hardcase battery in the works made to fit the Tekno conversion? with ROAR probably putting on some official rules soon, it would be nice to be able to have a 4S hardcased battery pack in 1/10 scale battery size that fits the tekno tray, and not have to rig up two 7.4V lipos to stay together and charge together.

conversion looks excellent!

The Losi pack will fit the Tekno tray by modding the back wall of the tray. We may bring out a new tray that requires no mods, but the straps are what hold the battery in with our system, not the tray, so it's just as secure. I'm sure Reedy/AE or some other company is working on a 4s hardcase that fits the 140x48 footprint of the 1/10 scale packs since their new conversion uses a battery tray with those dimensions. I think we'll see a lot of packs within the next year.
