Default Spread the word. use reverse.

Been running ele instead of nitro.
Reverse is awsome.

Turn that revesre on. We have the tech. Sick of marshalling buggys/truck whatever stuck during practice. It seems easier to turn the reverse on and off than a marshall getting your rig a dozen times.
tell your friends.

Note not for guys running xxx4s though. (slipper will loosen)
Whatever

That's ok at local level, if allowed by your race director. But for higher levels of racing you need a foreward only or reverse disabled or you will be DQ'ed. This is for the safety of all rc vehicles, on the track. If you pull out in front of someone, you or the other car(or both) will be damaged. I'd check with you're track owner or director before continuing this

I enjoy having delayed reverse on an esc. With something like a mamba max you can hit a wall wait your 5 seconds in reverse and move back. It makes practice days much easier. Then you have 5 seconds of brake time which is more then enough to engage the reverse.

i usually run with reverse on for practice.Saves a little leg work until you get the layout of a fresh track down.

Reverse in my nirvana

It's funny that we can't use reverse when racing. I can understand the well-meaning idea behind it, but especially at higher level, do you really think a top racer would back out into oncomming traffic?

Oh well. Keep backin that baby up

I think the rule came from REAL racing where it is more difficult to see backwards. Thus the higher risk of getting into an accident.

In RC, a person that would run into someone going BACKWARDS is the same person that would run into someone going FORWARDS.

Most of the time if someone needs marshalled it is becasue they are on thier roof. Reverse doesnt help that.

I primarily race Mini-Z, where reverse is allowed. It takes a lot of discipline NOT to cause accidents by reversing into traffic. If everyone is a high-level driver with good sportsmanship, it's not a problem. I've seen many novice and intermediate races where it is almost impossible to not get taken out since they will reverse into traffic instead of waiting. One car bounces all over the lanes in forward and reverse making it appear as if there are 10... We call it "ninja magic" and anyone who has ever played old school Shinobi will know what I'm talking about.

What's next? Using channel 3 to flip the car back over. Ooh, wait a minute, I might have something there.
